Last week, Verizon published its annual Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR) which details the major trends in data breaches observed over the previous year. This report has become a widely respected industry standard that companies (across all industries) hold in high regard and frequently reference.

Given the large number of insights captured, the annual DBIR is a major undertaking for Verizon. This year, BitSight was proud to be one of the many organizations — and the only security ratings provider — that contributed to this report. BitSight appreciates that a well-respected organization like Verizon trusts and values our data, along with our 1700+ global customers.
